“The Final Stretch: The Late Bob Stokhaug’s Passion Comes to Auction”

Bravo Auctioneers Presents: A Kentucky Derby and Horse Racing Collection Auction

Bob Stokhaug’s passion for the track began in the late 1950s with weekend trips to Arlington Park. From there, it became a lifelong love affair with the sport of kings.

Bob worked as a bloodstock agent, attended countless Derbies, was an avid collector and even appeared as an auction hand in the 1977 film Run for the Roses.

His favorite horse? Nashua.
His favorite jockey? The legendary Bill Shoemaker.

If you ever stepped into Bob’s home, you’d find it filled with photos of horses, racetracks, and jockeys—alongside shelves of books on racehorses and breeding. His go-to read? The Racing Form.

Now, Bob’s incredible personal collection is being offered at auction.
Every item tells a story. Featured Items: WWII-Era Mint Julep Cups, Sample Glasses, Vintage Racing Programs, Rare Racing Art/Photos and Books.
