Spring Auction Highlights: Rare Finds & Strong Sales
Spring is always an exciting season in the auction world—and this year was no exception! Bravo Auctioneers is proud to share some standout moments from our recent spring sales.
A piece of Kentucky Derby history turned heads: a WWII-era Mint Julep glass, crafted from Bakelite due to wartime shortages, sold for an impressive $4,900. A rare prototype “sample glass”, designed but never mass-produced, brought $2,500, highlighting just how valuable rarity and provenance can be.
In Dubuque, Iowa, the Sisters of St. Francis antique furniture and collectibles auction drew a strong crowd both online and in person. Notable sales included a beautiful oak library card cabinet that fetched $2,650, and a classic rolltop desk selling for $1,550.
Meanwhile, the Radloff Estate Auction in Dyersville, Iowa delivered big with a 2014 Polaris Ranger 800 4×4 Limited Edition UTV, showing only 1,853 miles and 299 hours—sold for $8,150.
